Lambsquarter: Lambsquarter is a relative of lettuce, and the leaves are edible. This plant grows to a very large size if left in your garden, so large that it cannot be pulled out of the ground by hand. The stem becomes thicker as the plant grows taller. However, the plant is too tiny to pull out of the ground when it first becomes a seedling. Let the seedling grow a little, and then pull it out of the ground by the stem, placing your hand near the soil.
