This week is National Volunteer Week, and The Franklin Institute would like to take the time to thank all the Ozone Garden volunteers past and present for their hard work and dedication!
Together, they have transformed a weed-infested jungle space behind the museum into a thriving research and demonstration garden. Volunteers worked extremely hard to clear and prep the space, plant herbs, veggies and research crops, water and maintain the garden free of weeds and pests, and collect several weeks’ worth of leaf damage data each year. Not to mention spending hours analyzing collected data, writing and presenting original research, and maintaining this blog.
Cumulatively, Ozone Garden volunteers have dedicated 916 hours over the past two years to the project!
Thank you for your time and effort!
